The purpose of the Pediatric Moderate Sedation module is to highlight the principles and standards underlying safe & effective pediatric moderate sedation, review commonly used sedating/analgesic agents, review potential pediatric complications, highlight adjuncts to sedation, and encourage healthcare organizations assess and improve their own pediatric moderate sedation processes. It is our hope that healthcare professionals will utilize these materials to further enhance the care of children in their own institutions.
